IELTS Instructor (Part-Time / Full-Time)

Position Summary:

We are seeking a passionate, qualified, and experienced IELTS Instructor to join our team in DHA Islamabad. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing students to achieve their target IELTS scores by delivering engaging lessons in all four language skills: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The instructor will assess students’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and create a supportive learning environment that promotes academic success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality IELTS preparation classes for individual and group students.
  • Teach all four IELTS modules: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking (Academic and General Training).
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with IELTS assessment criteria.
  • Evaluate students’ language proficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct mock tests and provide detailed performance feedback.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain attendance and performance records.
  • Guide students on effective test-taking strategies and time management.
  • Prepare and update teaching materials, worksheets, and practice tests.
  • Stay informed about IELTS test format updates and best teaching practices.
  • Support students in achieving their target band scores.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field.
  • IELTS Overall Band Score of 7.5 or above (8.0+ preferred), or equivalent English language proficiency.
  • Teaching certification such as CELTA, DELTA, TEFL, TESOL, or equivalent will be an advantage.
  • Previous experience teaching IELTS or English language courses is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Strong understanding of IELTS assessment criteria and scoring.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong classroom management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams) is desirable.

Working Hours:

  • Full-Time: 40–48 hours per week (as per organizational policy).
  • Part-Time: Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on class schedules.
